Course Description: Various mediums of the language
will be utilized, with a general emphasis on
literary form. Genres including poetry, drama, the short story and
novels will be examined in the
contexts of comprehension, form, grammar, and thought processes. Students
will develop the
writing skills necessary to present critical thinking on each of these
issues. Technology will be an
integral part of the learning and writing process.
Course Objective: This course is designed to provide
1oth grade students with an expanded
knowledge of subjects and concepts introduced in the English 9 class.
Course Requirements:Class activities and projects
required for successful completion of the course
may include, research paper, summer reading, homework, essays, test/quizzes,
