Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying
Harassment, intimidation and bullying, like other disruptive or violent behaviors, is
conduct that disrupts both the student's ability to learn and the school's ability to
educate its students in a safe environment, and since students learn by example school
administrators, faculty, staff, and volunteers are expected to demonstrate appropriate
behavior, treating others with civility and respect, and refusing to tolerate harassment,
intimidation and bullying by students and staff. The purpose of the Board of
Education's Policy on Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying is to ensure a safe and
civil environment at the Cape May County Technical School District where students
learn and achieve high academic and employment standards.
The Board of Education of the Cape May County Technical School District prohibits
acts of harassment, intimidation and bullying. Bystander support of harassment,
intimidation or bullying active or passive is also prohibited. N.J.S.A.18A:37-15 (3)(b)(1)
