SPECIAL NOTICE

On September 8, 2021, the State Board of Education adopted graduation assessment requirements for the classes of 2023, 2024, and 2025. The new regulations require all students to demonstrate proficiency by achieving a passing score on the English language arts (ELA) and mathematics components of the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA). Students who complete the NJGPA but do not receive a passing score will have the opportunity to retake the NJSGPA in the following summer or fall, utilize the menu of alternative assessments, or complete a portfolio appeal.

An important part in paying for college are scholarships. Students should apply to as many scholarships as possible for free and may recieve thousands of dollars toward their college education. Some scholarships are on a national level however many are small locally based organizations. Requirements for scholarships vary as well as the amount that could be recieved, but even smaller amounts can add up and go a long way. Scholarships can be awarded according to merit, a written essay, or due to an affiliation with an organization such as the Masonic Scholarship.

SAT & PSAT Information

The SAT is a standardized test that colleges use to evaluate applicants' college preparedness. Over two million students take the SAT each year. It is designed to measure a student's ability to understand and process elements in three subjects: reading, writing, and math.

SAT scores are both based on an objective score and the student's performance relative to other test-takers, and have proven to be an indicator of collegiate success.

Most universities in the United States require scores from the SAT or ACT, so it's important to take one of these standardized tests.

Our school offers the PSAT for free, which is a test that gives students a taste of what taking the SAT will be like.

Vocation & College Alternatives

We know that some students may not want to get a college education and that is perfectly fine. Some of our classes are designed for your child to jump right into the work force. Even if your child is not in one of the classes that are designed to give your child a job right out highschool, there are other alternitives like the U.S. Armed Forces and trade/post-secondary vocational school.
